A nice place, but be sure you know what you're in for. We stayed at the Honu suite. An outdoor shower, no glass windows (plantation shutters and screens only), and geckos on the wall were amongst the surprises. For that, you get a location right by Hana Bay with views and the sounds of waves crashing. Descend the steps to catch the sunrise from the shore. Also walkable to the Travaasa Hotel Hana and Hana Beach Park. We enjoyed our stay, and it was a great location for day trips to the Pools at Ohe'o and Wai'anapanapa state park.
We stayed here instead of driving to and from Hana on the same day. It is fabulous!! The room was very comfortable, had a beautiful and peaceful, relaxing view of the ocean only a short walk away, and a hot tub on the deck. We felt so relaxed here that we sat on the deck all morning and could hardly get up and going. It is clean and has a well equipped kitchen. I highly recommend the Bamboo Inn and we will stay here again.
Right on the waterfront of Hana Bay, this location is a very convenient place to stay in Hana Town.

Iwa Suite was outstanding both in comfort and wood decor. A two level suite with Jacuzzi on lower back deck, listening to crashing waves, watching stars twinkle thru swaying, clacking palm fronds. It was too beautiful to sleep but when we did drift off finally, with a soft warm breeze caressing our faces, dreams of "South Pacific" were guaranteed. Coffee on the upper balcony in the morning as the sun rose over the black sand cove, completed our idyllic stay.
The owner does not take good care of the property. The view is nice but not worth the price. You can't use the beach since it is rocky
