Wow! What an awesome experience! Never seen anything like that. The lava tube was super interesting. There were descriptions at certain parts of the cave that tells you what each feature represents. John was super helpful and knowledgeable. The admission included flashlights and a maze outside the cave for the kids.
Very cool to get to walk through a lava tube. Bring good shoes this is not a sandals kinda place. It's rough because it's an actual lava tube. Highly recommended I believe we paid 25.00 for 2 people.
I went through the tubes with my stepbrother and we were fascinated with the formation of the tube and its purpose to the locals. It is very dark and cold but you are given a flashlight to use to walk through. It was a great time when I went there. I would come back the next time I take the road to Hana.
Such a neat little spot on the road to Hana. This wasn't in any of the blogs that we read when planning our trip, and we just kind of stumbled upon it because it was a rainy day and we were looking for something to do "inside". Totally worth it! It has little plaques along the way that explain how each section was formed. Cool for kids and adults. Glad we got to see it.
This is a great stop. You get to get off the highway and go to a little bit of a walk. The staff was great and answered many questions while being friendly and patient. There is a little maze that reminded me of a corn maze. We were there during Thanksgiving so I feel like I got to check that off my holiday list. The tube itself was very interesting. There were many people in the tube but at most times I felt like we were the only ones there. We spent almost an hour and a half at this stop.
