What's not to love about this place? Ed and Ulu Hill are the most gracious hosts to their guests and even invite you over for some drinks and REAL ALOHA SPIRIT!
Joe's Place is certainly affordable and a great place to catch some sleep after a long day of adventures. It's not fancy but for the price it has everything you could ask for. Joe is a great guy and I would recommend this place to anyone looki mg for something affordable and convenient. It's located close to town and the ocean and has a very cozy vibe.
Cheap and easy over night stay in Hana on a whim. It's not the Hilton, but it did the trick. Could stand for some fixing/cleaning up and raising the rates to cover it.

Cheap; but you get what you pay for. Old, kinda moldy, run down. And no place to hang your towel by the shower; and you will not want to set it down anywhere in that bathroom lol bring rubber slippers for in the shower and lots of hand sanitizer for everything else. I knew the late Rose and Joe Akana when I was a little kid; they started the place and back then it was really clean and up kept; it's just been let go as far as maintainance now and kinda gross. Ed is a nice guy tho.
